It is inevitable that the companies got affected from the new policies of the government. However, CAMFEBA has a role to lobby the government in order to minimize this impact. For instance, the Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) has established the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) through a sub-decree in March 2007. This establishment was announced in the Labour Law of 1997 in article 256. Before the establishment of the NSSF, the Labour Law of 1997, article 252 to 257 deals with workmen’s compensation. The collaboration between CAMFEBA and the Nippon-Keidanren International Cooperation Center (NICC) has come to exist since 2003 after CAMFEBA became a member of the Confederation of Asia- Pacific Employers (CAPE). Since then, CAMFEBA and her members have been enjoying the supports from NICC in the area of Human Resources development. Even though, NICC have disbaded in March 2010, but we still recieved thesse Oversea trainings under the full support from The Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship (AOTS). Collectively, CAMFEBA represents over 1000 businesses, unionized and non-unionized. Having seen the challenges and many issues being faced by many HR personnel in its member companies and the need to enhance the close relationship with them, CAMFEBA has initiated to formulate an HR club consisting of HR personnel and other HR-related staff from its member companies and associations. The Government-Private Sector Forum (G-PSF) improves the business environment, builds trust, and encourages private investment through a demand driven process with the private sector identifying issues and recommending solutions. The CAMFEBA's Forum is an online consultation meeting for local and international companies working in Cambodia, particulaly for members of CAMFEBA. Under the ILO-ACT/EMP Programme on Youth Employment and Social Dialogue and with the financial support of the Norwegian Government, CAMFEBA launched its Youth Employment Programme in June 2007. The objective of the project is to address youth related matters in Cambodia such as employment and job creation opportunities, working closely with Unions and Government to strengthen social dialogue between tripartite constituents on a topic, important too all. Technically and financially supported by ILO IPEC, CAMFEBA has implemented a child labour project aiming at mobilizing employers to eliminate child labour in Cambodia, focusing on the worst forms of child labour. A dedicated group of private sector representatives and Child Labour Focal Persons were created and trained and have been an active and effective mechanism in disseminating information and knowledge on the worst forms of child labour.
