She serves as Executive Director at Digital Divide Data (DDD), an innovative social enterprise enables talent from underserved populations to access sustainable training and professional opportunities and earn lasting higher income, including youth from low-income families in developing countries. She supports the workforce of around 1200 people in Asia and East Africa.

As Executive Director of Impact Programs, Sopheap drives the creation and management of new and innovative impact initiatives across DDD such as the DDD Career Connect in Cambodia, Training Center in Laos, and the Livelihoods Lab in Kenya. Sopheap worked her way up through the rank from very entry level to one of top executive leadership team at DDD.

Prior to this role, she served as Executive Vice President of HR and Impact. During the time she led global HR, Sopheap introduced performance management system to all three offices and enforced company culture of engaged working environment and those programs have since become DDD’s on-going global initiatives.

Sopheap holds a Master of International Management (with minor focus in Logistics and Supply Chain Management) from Portland State University, USA. She is also a 2009 International Ford Motor Company fellow. She was born and raised in Battambang province in a family of 4 and has now lived in Phnom Penh since 2013.

With more than 20 years of experience, she has been working in the field of Human Resources for different companies and organizations in a variety of business sectors including bank, insurance, pharmaceutical, food industry, logistics, public administration, in Europe, Africa, last but not the least in Cambodia.

Indeed, she possesses a broader knowledge of human resources development especially as a human development trainer, she also has an extensive experience in recruitment, coaching and career advisory, skills transfer and teambuilding.

Very involved in the field of international solidarity, she’s currently working on capacity building and resilience for a non-profit organization based in Battambang - Cambodia. Her professional career brought her to work as an Employee Engagement consultant to improve the overall employee experience, to integrate engagement concepts into working approach in order to have a strong connection among employees and develop new and innovative ways to engage employees.

She has a high commitment in supporting change for the benefit of the women and men who make up the Society taking into account the cultural background.

Sunny has more than 10 years of working experience undertaking human resource roles covering the four key aspects of Human Resource management including Recruitment, Learning and Talent Development, Performance & Rewards and Employee Communications Engagement with various multi-national companies and financial institutions including banking and insurance. In the last approximately 5 years she has extended her human resource portfolio in supporting the Indochina cluster on various people agendas.
